Did you get my submission?

If you made your submission at our site, the first thing to do is to log in and click on My Submissions to confirm that your story is there and listed under the correct category. (Although we send confirmations of receipt, they can end up in your junk-mail folder unless you put glimmertrainpress.com and mail.glimmertrainpress.com on your safe-senders list.)

If the story is not listed at all, here are four possible reasons for this:

You may have uploaded the file, but not followed the process through to completion. (You may have to scroll down to see the button that seals the deal.)

If you took a long time to complete your submission (got distracted maybe or spent time typing in your cover letter instead of copying and pasting it in place), you may have "timed out." If you think that might be the case, please just start over.

Sometimes people have inadvertently set up more than one account for themselves so they've submitted in one account, but looked for that story in another account under a different email address. If that sounds possible and you still use both email addresses, send for a password reminder (right there at the site) and you'll be sent your login info so you can check the other account. No luck? Let me know what email addresses you've used and I'll look for you.

Only stories submitted at the site, using our online submission procedure, are recorded on the site. Paper submissions are read, but not tracked. (See snail mail info.)

But if you made your submission at the site, using the account that does not show your story, your submission did not come through and you should please start again. (As soon as you're done making a submission it will show under "My Submissions" so it's smart to make a habit of looking immediately after making one.)
