I just subscribed a few months ago. It CAN'T be time to renew, can it?!

I'm sorry. It's one of those crazy things that's only logical from a certain perspective (the perspective the computer program is fixated on): That sub would have begun with the winter issue, and we would have followed up with spring, summer, and almost fall (which comes out in late August) so the subscription is, on the one hand, almost over. You could actually wait until November to renew and you wouldn't have missed an issue, but most people go ahead and renew right away and—if it's a Christmas gift, for instance—just tell us “Hold the gift announcement until Christmas, please.” We're happy to do that.
