Trouble making a submission/can’t see where to make a submission/how do I do this?

If you'd just like to see a good overview, click here.
Don't see where to make a submission? Once you're logged in, you may have to scroll down to see the name of the category to which you'd like to submit. Click on the name of the category rather than on the guidelines to begin that process.
Can't seem to complete the submission process? If you took a long time to complete your submission (got distracted maybe or spent time typing in your cover letter instead of copying and pasting it in place), you may have "timed out." If you think that might be the case, please just start over.
Not sure your submission made it in? Be sure to click on My Submissions. If the story is there, all is well! If it's not there, it didn't come through; please do try again.
Don't want to, or cannot, submit using our online system for some reason? No problem. Feel free to use snail-mail. (No email attachments or faxes, please. They don't get into the reading queue.)

Every story we publish is unsolicited, and 86% of the stories we accepted last year came to us directly from the writer.
That's exactly how we like it.
